Robert D. Booth serves as Chief Pilot and Check Airman at Plane Travel, LLC, bringing an extraordinary 24,180 total flight hours, including 22,850 multi-engine, 3,315 instrument, and 7,070 PIC turbo-prop hours, to oversee safe and efficient operations. Holding an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (MEL), Commercial privileges (AS & MEL), Certified Flight Instructor ratings (AS & MEL), and a flawless safety record with no accidents or violations, Robert excels in leading teams, conducting check rides, and ensuring compliance across a diverse fleet including the T207, PA 31-350, and BE58.

With over four decades in aviation, Robert's career spans FAR 23 certification test piloting, FAR 91 corporate and commercial flying, and extensive FAR 135 leadership roles as Certificate Holder, Director of Operations, Training Captain, and Check Airman at organizations like Skymax Air Charter, Trinity Air Ambulance, Bimini Island Air, and many others. At Plane Travel since March 2016, he has been instrumental in pilot training, operational oversight, and maintaining high standards for cargo and passenger services throughout the southeast USA and the Bahamas. His international experience covers the Arctic, Bahamas, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America, Cuba, Europe, Greenland, Iceland, Mexico, Russia, Scandinavia, UK, and USA, supported by simulator proficiencies in aircraft such as the King Air series, Cheyenne, Conquest, and more.

A U.S. Navy veteran and graduate of Indiana University with a focus on Business Administration, Robert combines technical expertise with strong leadership to foster a culture of safety and excellence.
